About Kingsland, GA

Kingsland, Georgia is a city located in Camden County in southeastern Georgia, just north of the Florida state line. Originally established as a railroad town in the late 19th century, Kingsland was incorporated in 1908 and developed as a center for the timber and turpentine industries. Its location along major transportation corridors, including Interstate 95, has helped transform the city into an important commercial and residential hub for the region.

Today, Kingsland is best known as the gateway to Cumberland Island National Seashore, offering convenient access to one of Georgia's most scenic coastal destinations. The city also serves nearby Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, one of the U.S. Navy's principal Atlantic submarine bases, which plays a significant role in the local economy. With its family-friendly atmosphere, growing business community, and proximity to Georgia's coast, Kingsland continues to attract both residents and visitors.
